Digital artist Stanley “Artgerm” Lau has has taken the wraps off the last two of his stunning variant covers for the upcoming Fantastic Four #1.

If you follow comic book artists on social media, specifically Instagram, then odds are that you already know the work of Stanley Lau.

Lau, who goes by the name Artgerm on social media, is one of the most recognized and beloved artists currently working in the industry. His Instagram alone has almost half a million followers and that doesn’t even include his Twitter and Facebook pages.

Artgerm is best known for his highly stylized portraits of women with a heavy anime-inspired feel. His work, usually done with digital tools or with Copic markers, has won him million of fans and helped him become the unquestioned authority of that style of art.

Over the last few years, Artgerm has done a number of highly popular variant covers for all kinds of comic book titles, including Supergirl, Thor, Harley Quinn, Captain Marvel and Batman. Last month he revealed that he would be doing four separate variants for the relaunch of Fantastic Four, at the time only showing the covers featuring the Human Torch and the Thing.

On Wednesday, Artgerm and Marvel took the wraps off the final two featuring Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman.

And they are all just as good as you would expect.

From what we can see, it looks like the Fantastic Four will be going back to their more traditional costumes for the new volume with some added tweaks. Personally I always like the darker color scheme as I thought it was a bit more dramatic than the lighter blue costumes the team wore for decades.

Marvel has kicked the hype machine up to 11 for the return of the Fantastic Four and fans are responding. With the tantalizing possibility that they may join the rest of the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a few years, the excitement level is sure to just go higher.

Written by Dan Slott (Amazing Spider-Man) with art by Sara Pichelli (Spider-Man) Fantastic Four is promising adventures with a modern take but still with that classic Fantastic Four feel to them. Slott said as much when talking about the book to Marvel.com.

“The FF are super heroes. But they’re not about stopping bank robbers or defeating clandestine secret societies. Sure, if a world-eater comes to devour the Earth, or a giant Kirby monster starts stomping through the city, you can count on them to save the day. That said, first and foremost, they’re explorers. They’re out to see new planets, dimensions and universes! They live to push the boundaries of both science and the imagination! More importantly, they live to do that together, as a family.”
