A new trailer of July’s Ant-Man and the Wasp has arrived thanks to Twitter and in it, our heroes realize they have “unleashed something powerful” that they have to stop.
If you are a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you’ve had a rough couple months.
First there was the concern if Marvel could make a good Black Panther movie, which turned out to be a resounding yes.
Then there was Avengers: Infinity War and having to watch as Thanos wiped out half the population of the universe with a snap of his fingers.
Talk about emotionally draining.
So it is safe to say that MCU fans could use a break. Something a bit on the lighter side to make us all remember just how much fun Marvel movies can be. You know, in the days before a purple madman showed up with a plan to “fix” the universe.
In other words, it’s a perfect time for some Ant-Man.
Set to arrive in theaters this July, Ant-Man and the Wasp is the sequel to the surprise hit Ant-Man starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas. The film actually takes place shorty after the events of Captain America: Civil War, so there’s no finger snaps, no Infinity Gauntlet, so sad little girl Gamora.
Just lots of action, comedy and that special something that originally drew fans to the MCU in the first place.
The latest television spot for the film made its debut on the movie’s Twitter feed on Monday. It includes some new footage as well as lots of the trademark comedy fans have come to expect.
This is in addition to the new full-length trailer that arrived online in early May, which we will now watch again since it is so awesome.

With the release date for Ant-Man and the Wasp quickly approaching, you can expect lots more teasers and trailers to begin to arrive in force in the coming weeks.
Which, after the emotional toll Infinity War took on everyone, is just fine with us.
Ant-Man and the Wasp arrives in a cineplex near you on July 6, 2018.
