The second full-length trailer for Deadpool 2 has been released and it gives fans their first real look at X-Force while also bringing the funny.
Back in the beginning of February, 20th Century Fox released the first full trailer for Deadpool 2, the follow-up to the hugely successful X-Men spinoff starring the Merc with a Mouth. The film pretty much broke every rule that had existed about superhero movies and did it in a wonderfully perverse way.
Now, thanks to Ryan Reynolds and his alter ego doing huge numbers at the box office, Fox has given the green light to create a smaller shared universe within the larger X-Men Cinematic Universe. It will include Cable, X-Force and of course Deadpool himself and all the movies will be rated R.
You know, if Disney allows it to happen if and when their buyout of Fox actually goes through.
In the meantime, we still have Deadpool 2 to look forward to. Opening in May, the film will introduce Cable as a time traveling solider from the future with a mission to kill a child. Of course, Deadpool has to stop him and to do this, he has to bring together a team of “heroes” to assist him.
And hilarity ensues.
On Thursday, Fox released the second full-length trailer for Deadpool 2 and unlike the first one, the new teaser includes a good amount of actual footage from the movie and not Deadpool playing with dolls.
The trailer is not only laugh out loud funny, but gives fans a good sense of what they can expect from the sequel. While the clip seems to portray Cable as the villain of the movie, anyone who has read an X-Men comic book knows that the two will almost certainly be working together once the film reaches its final act.
Or, as close to “together” as these two get.
In addition to the new footage, the trailer is chock full of Easter eggs if you’re paying attention. They come and go pretty fast, but when you see them they are sure to make you laugh out loud.
Hopefully now that the new Deadpool 2 trailer has dropped it will get a positive reaction from fans and garner some good buzz for the sequel. With conflicting reports about how test screening have gone to the news that the movie would be undergoing dreaded late reshoots, it’s been a tough few weeks for the film.

Moviegoers only have a short while to wait until they can decide for themselves if Deadpool 2 is any good. The film arrives in theaters everywhere on May 18, just a few weeks after Avengers: Infinity War is likely to own the box office.
