New Avengers: Infinity War Promo Art Has Cap Looking Worn Out

A new Avengers: Infinity War promo image has shows familiar faces, but Captain America doesn’t look as spiffy as he use to be.

Artist Steve Cas has released a new Avengers: Infinity War promo image via his Instagram account. It’s got our heroes looking stoic and ready for battle. However, Captain America looks like he needs a vacation. The aftermath of Captain America: Civil War (2016) seems to have taken a toll on our First Avenger. All the other members look pretty fresh-faced, especially Tony Stark (should I saw fresh-helmeted?) with his sleek new Iron Man suit, adorned with multiple arc reactors.

The image also includes a teenage Groot who still looks like he has a bit of angst. I wonder if he ever obeyed Star-Lord and cleaned up his messy room? A little to the back and left of our favorite living tree is Spider-Man, now wearing his Iron Spider armor—which was first introduced at the end of this summer’s Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017).

And flanking Steve Rogers are the rest of team Guardians of the Galaxy—Star-Lord and Rocket. I wonder if that’s Rocket only pose? Oh wait, he’s also got that crotch-grab. Peter Quill seems to be sporting a much more serious face which means things are going to be dire in this upcoming film. Hey, they should be. Reality is at stake here.

About Steve Lam 105 Articles
The first superhero Steve ever saw was Christopher Reeve's Superman in 1978. Steve was only a year old and couldn't really appreciate history being made. Little did he know at the time, the seed was already planted—which would grow into a lifelong obsession with superheroes and comics. Today, Steve also adds science fiction, horror, and movies to his repertoire of nerdy fanaticism. His dream is to one day sell his novel or screenplay.
